Jhn 1:18 (KJV) No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
Jhn 1:18 (ESV) No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father's side, he has made him known.
God is in the available, what does this mean? It used to be that there are several rules and laws, and a literal veil guarding access to God, and whoever must approach must be worthy, Righteous, Holy, Clean. So only the few, and the favored could draw near and access Him. Until Christ. Now we have an express, a way unhindered to The Almighty, through the man Jesus Christ, son and lamb of God.
Luk 23:45 (KJV) And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst.
At the crucifixion, the veil tore allowing access. What is behind the veil?
Heb 9:3 (KJV) And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;
Exo 26:31 (KJV) And thou shalt make a vail of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen of cunning work: with cherubims shall it be made:
Exo 26:32 (KJV) And thou shalt hang it upon four pillars of shittim wood overlaid with gold: their hooks shall be of gold, upon the four sockets of silver.
Exo 26:33 (KJV) And thou shalt hang up the vail under the taches, that thou mayest bring in thither within the vail the ark of the testimony: and the vail shall divide unto you between the holy place and the most holy.
Exo 26:34 (KJV) And thou shalt put the mercy seat upon the ark of the testimony in the most holy place.
It is the ark of the testimony, it is the mercy seat, it is God Himself.
Lev 16:2 (KJV) And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto Aaron thy brother, that he come not at all times into the holy place within the vail before the mercy seat, which is upon the ark; that he die not: for I will appear in the cloud upon the mercy seat.
Exo 40:34 (KJV) Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.
Exo 40:35 (KJV) And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the congregation, because the cloud abode thereon, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.
Exo 25:21 (KJV) And thou shalt put the mercy seat above upon the ark; and in the ark thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee.
Exo 25:22 (KJV) And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.
But the veil has been torn, Christ the way is made available, come near, walk ye there in. God is in the available and you can reach Him, through faith in Christ.
Heb 10:20 (KJV) By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
Rom 3:25 (KJV) Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
Rom 3:26 (KJV) To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
Rom 3:25 (YLT) whom God did set forth a mercy seat, through the faith in his blood, for the shewing forth of His righteousness, because of the passing over of the bygone sins in the forbearance of God—
Rom 10:4 (KJV) For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
Jhn 14:6 (ESV) Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Jhn 14:7 (ESV) If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.”
Heb 4:16 (YLT) we may come near, then, with freedom, to the throne of the grace, that we may receive kindness, and find grace—for seasonable help.
Heb 4:16 (KJV) Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
